How listings and rankings work

Ordering is not a visit-based verdict

Ordinary lists use a score based on Google ratings adjusted for review count, plus information completeness such as prices, website and hours. The displayed stars are the original Google rating. A small number of perfect ratings is not treated as equivalent evidence to hundreds of reviews.

Some featured venues are placed within the first four positions of lists they qualify for. Ordering therefore does not always match score order. Lists containing featured venues carry a disclosure.

Station pages begin with distance

These include listed venues within 1 km of a station and begin with straight-line distance order. Featured placement also applies, so they are not strictly nearest-first. Walking times are estimates. Check the actual route, exits and crossings on the map.

Prices retain their source

We distinguish venue menus, external listings and amounts mentioned in Google reviews. Review amounts are not official menus and are excluded from structured price offers for search engines. Available source dates appear beneath rate tables. Medians combine different courses and are reference figures, not current quotes. We do not add durations to items without one.

Photos and corrections

Photos carry credits. An area image is labelled when used in place of an unavailable venue image. Ratings and hours describe information available when checked, rather than a guarantee of today's operation. Send errors and supporting sources through contact. Corrections are free.
